Must-have art boost

Nur 6

The rich colors, fairytale like magicness and wanna-go-there feel – it's all the unmistakable characteristics of the Swedish artist Nur Rydberg's artworks. She is mastering the art of using AI as true art booster, combined with her esthetic human touch.

We wanted to get to know Nur a bit more, and got the opportunity to ask her some questions.

So, who's Nur? Tell us a little about yourself and what you like.

My name is Nur, pronounced Noor, and I’m a 34-year-old behavioral scientist studying to become a full-stack developer. I live in a house in the countryside with my husband and children.

Things that make my heart skip a beat: flowers and plants, second hand shopping, feminism, wines with a distinctive mineral character, skin care, equality and art. I also love swimming, be it in bathtubs, swimming pools, lakes or seas – I’m pretty convinced that I was a mermaid in a past life.

About your artistery; what inspires you and how did you start working with art?

If I'm having a receptive day, I can be inspired by almost anything. Everything from the color combination of my son's clothes to a line in a book that really touched me.

I've had a creative side since I was a little girl but somewhere along the way into adulthood I lost that part of myself. Fortunately, I have found my way back and it feels like this is where I belong.
My mind and soul simply get energized when I create art.

"With Pink Floyd in my headphones, I let my mind do the rest."

When you feel the most creative?

When everyone in the house is sleeping. I put on my coziest clothes and brew my favorite tea. Then I go up to the loft in our house, where I have my computer and workstation. With Pink Floyd in my headphones, I let my mind do the rest.

Describe a normal day in the life of Nur.

A typical day starts with me preparing and sending my children off to preschool. Then I get ready for a day of programming. Sometimes I attend digital lectures and sometimes I code on different projects. If I'm having trouble concentrating when studying, I take a break, pull out my digital tools and create the first thing that comes to mind. Actually, some of my bestsellers have been created that way.
